Dogs B&B was established in 2003 as Melbourne's original home dog minding service. 

With many happy clients and lots of extremely content  pups, we have quickly earned a great reputation across Melbourne. 

We recognise that Dog owners don’t always have family or friends available to care for their best friends and hate the thought of a kennel. This is where Dogs Bed and Breakfast  services are a perfect fit! 

Dogs Bed and Breakfast arranges a carefully matched home while you go away on holidays or on business, secure in the knowledge that your dog is being cared for in the comfort of a dedicated dog lover's home. It is the perfect holiday for them too!

 

We are one of the very few companies providing individualised dog care in Melbourne.  We are one of very few companies where no mass boarding occurs,  and where all our minder's have been personally selected.  Have peace of mind knowing your dog is enjoying individual attention in a secure and safe environment. If your dog prefers only human company then they can stay with a minder that doesn't own a dog. We ask you to meet with the minder in advance at their home, to ensure you are completely comfortable with where your dog will be staying. 

For your convenience our minder's homes are located in most metropolitan suburbs in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.

what we do

We place dogs with an appropriate minder for the duration you are away- your dog will stay in a family environment,  just as it would be at home.

Whilst staying with Dogs B&B there will be no other visiting dogs at the same time (unless we have discussed this with you beforehand and all parties are comfortable with the arrangement). We do not mass board dogs in family homes, we offer individualised care.

Please remember that whilst we have an experienced and dedicated team of dog lovers caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, our minders DO NOT have veterinary qualifications and as such are unable to care for dogs recovering from surgery or infirm dogs suffering from disease or age related conditions.

Living  arrangements

Whilst staying with Dogs B&B your dog will live as it does in your home. Feel comforted knowing that your dog will live and sleep inside, be taken for a daily walk and receive lots of cuddles and attention - just like it would at home.

Security

For added security each dog is given a tag when they check in to their home stay. In the unlikely event that a dog become separated from its minder, this security tag has 24 hour emergency contact details.

Grooming

Does your dog need a daily brush?  No problem. We have dog minders that love to make a fuss of your dog. 

Walks

All visiting dogs are guaranteed at least one walk per day. This might be at the park, beach or around the block but will always be on the lead.

Companionship

Your dog will have companionship throughout the day if needed, and will not be left alone to fret and worry.

Regular Check-in

You are welcome to check in with your minder regularly for an update on your dog's welfare. Many minders will send you emails/texts to let you know how your fur-baby is settling in.

Pensioner rate is offered to confirmed Government Aged Pension recipients.

Extended stays are for dogs are staying over 21 days in one continuous booking.

school holidays

 Holiday Rate applies to all gazetted Victorian Government School Term Holidays. See www.vic.gov.au/Victorian-School-Term-Dates Public Holidays that fall outside the school holidays are charged at the relevant Standard Rate.

A Minimum Booking of 6 days applies 24th December to 11th January. Shorter bookings may be possible after 5th Dec once longer bookings have been confirmed.
